Depression is one of the most common complications of chronic illness. It is estimated that up to one-third of individuals with serious medical condition experience symptoms of depression. In some cases, depression appears to result from specific biologic effects of chronic medical illness. There are no findings for MPS. Depression is treatable, the best combination are psychotherapy and antidepressants. The main goal of depression is to isolate us, that is why relationships are important and especially encounter with psychotherapist can be healing.
